Great footage. My problem was that it kept stopping for several seconds. Any suggestions?

I suspect the starting and stopping is related to download speed of internet connection. Video still has a ways to go before it’s fully suited for the ‘net, and I still have a ways to go to learn the most effective settings for compression.

It would be very nice to provide it in mpeg format with a link for downloading the file. That way people could play it in their favorite viewer, which would, for example, allow them to expand it to fill the entire screen. It would also eliminate
the stuttering effect.

Very nice video, which we saw thanks to a posting by Laura Blumenthal to the eefc listserve. When & where does the folkdance group meet? We hope to be in Vancouver, BC during the 2nd week of October.

I belong to the same intern’l folk dance group as Jeremy, in Manitoba, Canada. He sent us this link. What is really neat is to see how many similarities there are between different intern’l folk dance groups. The commentary was especially nice, and expresses much of the same feelings that I have about folk dancing! The community feeling in bringing people together, the aspect of the sacred, etc. And our group is just beginning to get a band (singers and a few instrumentalists including clarinet, fiddle, guitar, harmonica, drums, keyboards) together so we can learn the words to the songs and play it at our folk dance socials!
