If you’ve come to the site — and not just read this in your favourite RSS reader — you’ve noticed the changes.
As part of the desire/need to reinvigorate my blogging, I’ve re-themed the site (using Valdimir Prelovac’s Amazing Grace). That’s meant some backend work and changes.

I’ve just uploaded the second in a series of photos created in response to words given to me by Twitter followers.

After too many days of feeling uninspired (and even a little lazy), I tweeted this this morning:
I need a kick in the brainpan: somebody tweet me a word, I’ll go out & try to photograph it; share the results later. Deal?

Okay, this may take a little explaining.
We didn’t want a dead tree that would have to be tossed out and recycled at the end of the season. But we didn’t want a live cedar, pine or fir either, because our plans for the landscaping don’t include any more of that type of evergreen.
What we wound [...]

Everything seems to have worked out fine, and I’m now blogging with WordPress 2.7. After a quick run-through the new interface, I’m impressed.

We have two sorts of squirrels in Vancouver, grey and black. I’ve seen plenty of both, but this is the first time I’ve seen them so close together.

I don’t now if it’s because the pickings are getting slim, but it was a nice gift from nature.
(Images are cropped from full-size JPEGs, shot with Canon SX100 [...]
