A few links before I head out to help shepherd students through end-of-term anxiety. (UPDATE: Yeah, I know this post used to be titled “Tuesday squibs.” Some days are like that.)
- A guide to choosing the right journalism school or program. A very well-written guide by Mary McGuire at The Canadian Journalism Project, with questions to ask about the schools you’re considering.
- Help Us Fund More Tyee Fellowships. These folks actually make a few dollars go a long way.
- Newspapers should not outsource its community relationships. Howard Owens thinks that turning over comments to an outside source is a really dumb idea.
- Five ways to innovate today. Ryan Sholin has marching orders (and appropriate links) for those who want to integrate free web services into their online newspapers. A great list of technologies and ideas.
