A little light reading:
- The future of video? Back-to-back headlines at I Want Media carry a suggestion of where online video where be headed: NBC’s Zucker Lashes Out at YouTube and Comcast, Facebook to Launch Video Series .
- Newspapers Are Booming Worldwide, Says Group . A little-serving promotion from the World Association of Newspapers. “What we are seeing completely contradicts the conventional wisdom that newspapers are in decline,” said CEO Timothy Balding, possibly ignoring the fact that it is the booming number of competitive freesheets that has helped push the total up. Also via I Want Media.
- Newspaper Video:Editing and Apps. Part 4. Andy Dickinson just can’t stop adding to his series of posts on apps for newspaper vid-folk. Which is a good thing: this four-part series tells you everything you need to know about the current state-of-the-art.
- Parents See Media, Not Sex, as Top Worry. Pointage only because I love the headline.
- Calling all programmers! Help content avoid a car wreck! Tom Abate makes so much sense when he argues that figuring out how users can share in the revenue “may be the essential ingredient to unleashing the full potential of users.”
