Internet reading for the start of another week:
- Growth in on-line news readership slows: survey. A Globe and Mail report on Pew Centre research on online news readership. There’s not much encouraging in the overall numbers for news consumption, regardless of platform.
- Crime stories frighten public. Interesting Vancouver Sun report on an RCMP report on efforts to reduce fear of crime by changing the way the force deals with media.
- Newspapers to Use Links to Rivals on Web Sites. Newspapers are discovering the power of linking out, even to competitors. At the NY Times.
- CNN.com to enlist citizen journalists. Everybody’s doing it. Via Lost Remote, which is also reporting that Weatherbug now has a user-submitted video section. And there’s more on this at Tech Crunch.
