With the Winter Olympics on their way to Vancouver and Whistler next February, we are being inundated with feel-good stories about the coming of the games.
Fair enough. The Olympics are a big deal and there is plenty to feel good about.
But there are some stories that I would like to read that I haven’t seen yet, including this one: if the Game are primarily about a celebration of the athletes, why is $40 million being spent on the opening and closing ceremonies and, specifically, who is making how much?
I’m sure other stories will come to mind, so I may turn this into a small series of posts. And you can feel free to add your own ideas of Olympic stories you’d pay to read in the comments.
