		<description>Fantastic point sir. In all of this debate, I never stopped to realize one very important fact: I don&#039;t read my local paper(s). At all. Even though the &lt;a href=&quot;http://mercurynews.com&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;San Jose Merc&lt;/a&gt; is delivered, I never pick it up, and I rarely ever read it online. The &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.sfgate.com/&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;San Francisco Chronicle&lt;/a&gt; receives a the same amount of inattention from me.

I admit to being guilty of not really caring about local news (living in the Silicon Valley, the only local news I care about is the Tech Business, and lord knows there&#039;s plenty of that news around).

So… go ahead newspapers, put the content behind a paywall – I guess it doesn&#039;t really affect me.</description>
