I’m all in favour of experimentation but, as an avid reader of books, this is not something that’s going to appeal to me at all:

Random House, owned by Bertelsmann, will start selling individual chapters of a popular book, to figure out if readers are interested in such unbundling.

According to the Paid Content report, Random House is offering the six chapters and the epilogue from ”Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die” for $2.99 each, which makes no sense, seeing as Amazon.com is currently offering the whole book for $16.47, and there are used copies available from $12.47.

Weird.
