I’m at an age where I know enough of about myself to recognize the folly of making New Year’s resolutions.
But, as 2007 went away, I did draft a bit of an outline for what I wanted to achieve this year. There was nothing spectacular on the list but there was this: pull the cameras out more often and produce at least one good image a week and do one bit of solid video storytelling a month.
None of which, so far, has happened in 2008. I can trot out excuses — a heavy round of college committee work, the demands of teaching, a mid-month change of residence — and they are all valid and all, at the same time, invalid. This seems an appropriate time to pick it up. It’s Chineses New Year after all, so I get a second shot at starting to make good.
