This is too cool: the ever-inventive Google maps folks have added a terrain view, so you can see the heights and depths. As you can see, I live in a pretty flat place surrounded by rather large lumps. (Note: the above is a screenshot; don’t try clicking on anything Google-related.)
Beyond the coolness factor, this adds another level of information to storytelling using Google maps.
