A pat on the back and a question.

The pat on the back goes to Apple for its pricing policies. The price for the new version of Final Cut Express, which gets even more robust, is the same in Canada as in the U.S., which hasn’t always been the case. Nice of Apple to recognize the new-found strength of the Canadian dollar and price accordingly.

The question is whether any of you other Mac owners are seeing this: version 3.0.4 of the Safari browser seems to shut itself down fairly frequently under only moderately heavy browsing load. That wasn’t the case with the beta version of Safari 3. (Yeah, I know all the cool kids use Firefix, but I stopped using it when it refused to remember a number of website passwords and because browsing with multiple tabs open slows it to a crawl.)

UPDATE: I figured out the Safari problem. When I stayed logged into Bloglines and left it running in the background, Safari’s share of CPU usage shot up to 105%. Logging out of Bloglines when I’ve cleared the reader, cleared the problem.
