Two stories from a country that should not be forgotten as the media’s attention wanders elsewhere:
- Journalist’s wife arrested in Burma. Khin Mar Lar, the wife of journalist and documentary filmmaker Thaung Tun (aka Nyein Thit), has been jailed. Her husband is believed to be in hiding after participating in anti-government protests. The Committee to Protect Journalists is pressing the issue.
- Four Local Men Lens Struggle In Burma. A grassroots documentary on the struggle in Burma. Kyle Majors has a short TV report. The film website is here and well worth spending time with.
