…with MyTimes, the customizable NY Times personal home page you can populate with any number of things, including: news feeds from BBC, the Washington Post and others; a Flickr and weather feed (I was able to set the tag to “Vancouver” and pull in local photos and weather), and even the RSS feeds of your choice.

Right now the site is in beta and there are some minor hiccups: the Vancouver settings for weather and photo keep reverting to New York, for instance.

Yeah, yeah, I know that portals are “dead,” but this is interesting on several fronts: the customization, the ability to add pretty much whatever you want to the page, and the fact that it’s from the New York Times. Expect imitators.
