A few things from the ‘net. I had more but my browser crashed, taking all the open tabs with it.
- Adobe’s Online Image Editor Previewed. All that’s available online are some screen shots, but this could be a big deal for the image-maker on the move.
- A few basics of newspaper.com design. Ryan Sholin’s thesis work may emerge as a valuable resource for newspaper website design. He passes along some design tips.
- Ramblings….. Richard Koci Hernandez has my favourite post of the week with a really simple message: forget the debates, tell me a damned story.
- Video journalism – where do you start? Some hows and whys. A nice, straight-forward, common-sense post.

Heh. Lucky for me, my thesis doesn’t involve anything as complicated as online news design, but as part of my preliminary data gathering, I’m checking out the number of blogs on a whole mess of newspaper.coms and figuring out when they started blogging. A number of early adopters and re-inventors will make it into case study interviews, if all goes as planned.
