Blogging from college because it’s that time of year:
- The “Eye Phone”: Changing the way we see? Dennis Dunleavy wonders if all that great new tech isn’t also changing the way we see and photograph the world.
- Mom scolds reporters for harassing family after son’s death. Among the reporting that set her off are her claims that reporters lied to her in attempts to get at the story. Yeesh.
- CA bill would ban forced subdermal RFID-tagging of humans. The scariest thing about this is that such a law is needed.
- Unlocking iMovie 08. A valuable new blog that digs deep into the guts of the controversial new version of iMovie and digs it some of the hidden power.
- Digital Dilemmas. Doug Fisher wonders why newspapers unwilling to publish photos think pointing to them on other sites is appropriate.
- What journalists need to know about snowballs and fires. A must-read (at least for my students) post on why blogs matter to journalists.
- Shaping the future of the newspaper. A new blog on trends in the business of newspapering, from the good folks who bring us the Editors Weblog.
