I’m halfway through Ben Yagoda’s When You Catch an Adjective, Kill It and it is a delight.
I’m not only learning from his chapter-by-chapter look at nouns, adjectives, interjections and the other parts of speech, I’m vastly entertained by his writing.
This is no dry look at the language we use; this is sparkling, fun work from a writer at play in the fields of the word.
