Not sure why I hadn’t thought of this: finding software tutorials on YouTube. Richard Hernandez at Multimedia Shooter posted links to a couple of Flash tutorials that led to YouTube. I got curious and searched YouTube for Flash tutorial (692 hits), Photoshop tutorial (5,200 hits), iMovie tutorial (32 hits), FCP tutorial (for Final Cut Pro: 45 hits) and Audacity tutorial (20 hits).

I haven’t checked many of them out, so I don’t know how valuable they may or may not be, but the fact folks are using YouTube to share their knowledge is interesting, and may save me some work when it comes time to teach multimedia journalism software skills this fall. And it gives me a place to share, too.
