On creating TV video?
As part of my continuing education in all things journalism, I need a good book (or several) on the art and craft of producing quality TV journalism. My online searches have tossed up lots of tomes on writing for broadcast, but that’s not what I’m looking for. I don’t need guides to digital video, either, because I already have several.
What I need is something that deals with the art of visual TV storytelling: how those guys lugging those monstrous digicams and huge sets of sticks around plan, shoot and edit the images into compelling journalism.
Suggestions, for which I will be truly thankful, welcome in the comments or by email at mark [at] tamark [dot] ca.

Mark,
I dare say there all no all-encompassing books on electronic newsgathering. One that comes closest is Al Tompkins’ “Aim For the Heart…” – but even that doesn’t cover the many disciplines that goes into video news acquisition. Hmmmm. Perhaps I should write one.
