Yesterday, I pointed to Visual Editors piece that had some nice graphics illustrating data from Alexa that claimed to show a slow, downward drift in visits to newspaper websites. The graphs are still there, but there have been a lot of comments that put the research into question. Worth reading.

Indeed. It was blogged as a starting point for a conversation.
To ask questions about Alexa, crunch through their reporting metrics and learn from people who know more about it. Also need a better answeras to why almost every newspaper Web site’s figures are down in their reports.
Do other media or service categories show similar trendlines?
It may be that Alexa represents just one small slice of tech-oriented user and that is all that is being shown.
