I didn’t known the New Yorker did slideshows until I was pointed to Susan Orelan’s sound-and-photo report on Robert J. Lang, who does origami that goes way beyond cranes. The original article is here.

The slideshow itself has the classic minimalist New Yorker look — no borders, lots of white space, etc.

I have to confess that what made me follow the link to the piece, from Jason Kottke, wasn’t the idea of New Yorker slideshows, though. It was the fact that it was Susan Orlean.
