Some bits and pieces from the internet:
- World Press Photo of the Year 2006. Spencer Platt’s image of young Lebanese driving through devastated neighbourhoods is the winner. via António Granada.
- Curley Unveils First Project at The Post. As expected, Rob Curley brings some interesting new twists to his multimedia work, now with the Washington Post. Lots of lessons to take away from this, although NewsAssignment writer Steve Fox has some criticisms.
- Sad message of sagging Sunday sales. Words like “bloodbath” make an appearance in Roy Greenslade’s look at the continuing, steep decline in Sunday newspaper readership in the UK. The message is that newspapers as a whole, not just their Sunday editions, are in deep trouble.
