I’m a little late with this, bit it’s significant: Wednesday, Yahoo published a slideshow on the situation in Thailand in the wake of the military coup using photos found at Flickr. And the narration that accompanies the photos is from a Flickr user.
Mainstream media (surely we can consider Yahoo in that category) has picked up on Flickr photos in covering big events in the past, but this takes it one step further. And this is a sterling example of what can be done when pros and amateurs play together.
NOTE: Link goes to the Flickr blog; when I tried to track down the slideshow at the Yahoo site today, I couldn’t find it.
