Is there nothing on the internet that spammers won’t pollute?
I’ve been using reader2.com to log books as I read them. It’s a great, free service where you can not only enter the titles of books, but also rate, describe and tag them. It’s a social site, too, which links books in common and, based on those connections, can make recommendations on what to read next.
This morning, when I added my current read, I was taken to the page of other additions to the site. Two of them were not books at all. Someone had used the title, tag and description attributes to load spam.
Idiots.

Thanks for reporting, I’ve already faced this problem on my other website, http://myprogs.net – I will add soon a ‘spam report’ ability – so such content will also be filtered in social manner :)
