While the filter I use to control the comments at this site does a generally great job, I still get one or two pieces of comment spam — mostly for payday loans or drug companies — a day that I have to track down and delete. The task is not onerous, but it is annoying, mostly because it’s abusive.

So I’m instituting a new policy: by clicking on the link to leave a comment, you are agreeing that your comment is relevant to the posts here, or generally intended to start or continue a discussion about media, and that your post does not contain advertising. Those who are in violation of the policy will be sent an invoice for $50 Canadian (or the equivalent in your local currency) for each piece of comment spam that I have to track down and delete. If it’s not possible to track the spammer directly, the invoice will go to the web master and to the registrar of the web site being advertised. Comment spam that contains multiple links will be billed at $50 for each link.

This is payment for advertising at this site, but a fee to cover my time and aggravation: all comment spam will be removed.

(NOTE: I realize no one is going to send me any money, because these people are not that honest and will blithely ignore this policy. But I’ll feel better and, perhaps, get to aggravate them just a little.)

Hi Guys since last three day I am facing a Huge Problem on my blog, The comments form is
not working. I tried to revert all the possible changes.
Whenever someone tries to send a comment, it takes them to a blank wp-comments-post.php
