The News University, an on-line training centre for journalists, is offering a free one-hour eSeminar on Covering Same Sex Marriage on April 14. It’s free for working journalists who register in advance.

(If you’re interested, try registering as a student journalist with The Chronicle; depending on how heavy the demand for the course is, you might make it on to the list.)

The seminar will be streamed on-line and participants will have the chance to ask questions of panelists Kelly McBride, Keith Woods and Matt Thompson, all from Poynter.

This is the first public course News U has offered since it was announced last fall (there was an earlier training session on diversity issues, but only for members of the Asian American Journalists Association). News U has been set up as a way of using the Internet to deliver continuing training to journalists.
