Chip Scanlan starts his column on the issue of reporters making things up with a question: “Is the only way to become a big time reporter these days to make stuff up?”
Part of his answer is: “Are my glasses rose-colored? Perhaps, but what else besides idealism, belief in humanity’s potential for good, would keep anyone in a business with such a paltry reward system?”
As always, his column is worth reading, as are the comments that it has drawn.

I loved reading the Chip Scanlan article. Such a good arguement made. It’s nice to see that there are still a few honest people in this world. I can’t wait to explore this site deeper.
