I came across this item at a number of media-related sites: Justin Walker, a Duke University senior and political junkie, left the classroom and spent two months covering the Democratic primaries through a daily blog. onlinejournalism.org reports: “The political science major, who graduates in May, sought out stories neglected by newspaper and television reporters.”

It’s not traditional journalism: no balance, some opinion, no overarching narrative. But it makes for a good read. The posts are short and they show what you can do by working the edges of the “big story.”
